A1:  How long should my news release be?  The maximum is approximately 400 words (including the headline, product information and company bio).  Many publications limit the length of news releases to 60-150 words and we know which publications do so.

A2:  How often should news releases be sent to the media?  Almost all publishers welcome the regular submission of related content for their publications.  Frequency depends on the publication.

A3:  Where will my news release be distributed?  We maintain a proprietary list of over 500 contacts spanning the automotive aftermarket industry.  The list includes B2B and B2C magazines, clubs, forums, newsgroups and e-zines.  Because our list is grouped by industry and segmented by vehicle make and/or model, we drill down to ensure the right publication receives your news release.  And, our list is compliant with the Can-Spam Act of 2003.

A4:  How long does it take for my news release to be published?  Typical lead times for print publications ranges from 3-4 months.  Lead times are much shorter for online publications like clubs, forums, newsgroups and e-zines.

A5:  Is my news release guaranteed to be published?  Placement of news releases can vary due to a variety of factors including but not limited to available space, editorial calendars and decisions made by editors and publishers.  Therefore, placement of news releases cannot be guaranteed.

A6:  What's in a media kit and why do I need one?  Your media kit would include pertinent information such as news releases, company history, various collateral material and more.  Every business needs a media kit.  Media kits are ideal for promoting your company to magazine editors, freelance writers, bankers and investors.  Most trade shows have media centers where your media kit can be distributed and that is the ideal time to promote them.
